Fireflies of Diriyah
In collaboration with Studio Toer (Netherlands)
This captivating installation was inspired by the beautiful movement of the lampyridae, the beetle better known as the firefly. Their glowing bodies in combination with their mesmerising flight choreography is one of nature's most dreamy and magical phenomena.
With the At Turaif UNESCO heritage site in the distance, the glow of the lively fireflies was projected on the grass beneath them. Evoking curiosity and wonder, they created a surreal landscape when viewed from the pedestrian walk overlooking the field.
