Upon Wings Installation
In collaboration with Edoardo Tresoldi (Italy)
Arranged as a Roman classical floorplan, mesh sculptures were organised like architectural monuments in a city to create an open plaza in the centre.
The transparent sculptures achieved an impression of depth, as well as held an ethereal presence. Suspended from above, fragmented structures seemed to be floating, appearing as if in a hologram. The installations required the artist to work on a much larger scale than usual, leading to the creation of an arresting scenography that combined classic forms with nature and water features.
The structures were strategically placed to establish a layout that encouraged guest movement and engagement within different areas of the space. They provided an impactful background for the stage as well as a balcony for the orchestra.
