Al Majlis

Since it first welcomed guests during the Ramadan of 2011, DLE’s annual majlis design has set the standard for luxury iftar destinations in the region.

Our 2018 transformation of the seasonal venue was inspired by traditional Liwan house design, with patterns influenced by Mashrabiya detail. A central courtyard was defined by a succession of fragmented floating arches, with refreshment and buffet stations located beneath the arch colonnade.

A design solution that catered to a wide range of social groups was integral to the success of the majlis. Booth style lounge seating offered privacy to families and corporate occasions, while large lounge areas in the four corners of the majlis provided dining spaces for VIP gatherings and larger groups.
